The most delicate part of a rabbit’s body is surprisingly the spine. In contrast to their incredibly strong muscular system, in particular their hind legs, their spines are brittle, leaving our favorite furry forest friend on a knife’s edge. A reminder of how fragile life truly is. I want to pay homage to our dear rabbit friend and their most vulnerable quality with jewelry that packs a punch. These earrings are 5-ish inches long. These earrings feature an abstract drawing I created of the rabbit’s spine, etched and cut into one of two kinds of acrylic — infrared pink (fluorescent) and iridescent.
