Printed with stones collected in Copper Harbor, Michigan using the antique photographic method Cyanotype.
MADE TO ORDER. Sustainably made with sunprinting (cyanotype) on cotton. Printed outerlayer fabrics are reclaimed. Inside each mask is a double-layer of flannel for extra protection. FYI: like the majority of handmade masks, these are NOT medical grade.
***These masks tie UNDER the ear. Benefits of this style include:
+ Reduces/eliminates skin irritation (especially the ear irritation from long-term wearing)
+ Does not interfere with hearing aids
+ Does not interfere with glasses + sunglasses
+ Wearers can still wear earrings safely without tugging on jewelry
+ Mask can remain around neck when not in proximity to others; EASY to pull mask up onto face before entering closed space
Patterning will vary mask to mask — all fabric is printed by the artist using locally sourced natural materials, so there are new patterns made with every printing.
